Course content
- WW II reportage, humanism and Magnum - "End of humanity" - the war in Vietnam - "New documents" (Frank, Arbus, Eggleston, Winogrand) - Photography and pop art, photography and body art - The concept and the "Düsseldorf" school - Decadence (Witkin, Goldin, Mapplethorpe) - Photography and postmodernism

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 1 hour per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 8 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the development of photography in the context of the development of the fine arts as a whole and taking into account the specific expressive means of media.
Students should gain a basic overview of the history of photography in the context of art, should be able to "read" photographs to determine the time of their formation and technique.
Completion of the course DSF1 or slightly advanced orientation in art history and photography 20th century.

Oral exam, Seminar Work
