Learning outcomes
The course consists of presentations and reading of new papers from high-profile scientific journals in the field of quantum optics and quantum information. The goal is to gain fundamental skills corresponding to critical and effective reading of scientific publications and knowledge of description of physical processes in various experimental implementations

Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic principles and formalism of quantum physics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Attendance, active participation in class, presentation of a selected scientific paper from the field of trapped ions and passing of the final test.
