Key learning outcomes  Students will be able to think in a clear, logical, and consistent way. They will be able to understand problems in scientific and technical practice and formulate them clearly and precisely. They will have the knowledge of basic mathematical tools to solve the problems and to handle and analyse data. They will be able to implement the problem solving strategies in a procedural programming language, and interpret the results correctly. The main learning outcome consists of mastering the basic tools of applied mathematics, which represents the language of science and technology.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples  The graduates will gain a basic insight into the main areas of applied mathematics calculus, linear algebra, geometry, differential equations, probability and statistics, procedural programming). They will also acquire basic skills in mathematical problem solving and data management and analysis. The graduates will be able to think in a clear, consistent and logical way and quickly adapt to a wide range of practical problems. Moreover, the graduates will be able to independently learn any of the fields, where mathematics is the key to understanding. The graduates can go directly into practice or they can continue studying mathematics and other subjects. The graduates find jobs mainly in research and development, in both the private and public sectors.
