Key learning outcomes Students will acquire knowledge and skills in experimental data processing. Therefore, besides basic statistical disciplines, applied statistics (including software support) is accentuated in the curriculum (statistical models in metrology, biometry, psychometry, population sampling, statistical quality control), as well as putting the theoretical knowledge to practical use. Furthermore, abstract thinking and creativity are cultivated, which, together with the knowledge of concepts and methods, enables the students after successful graduation in a Bachelor study to go on in a follow-up Master study at our faculty or other universities.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The graduate of the Applied Statistics Bachelor program has been trained to apply in a creative way mathematical methods (primarily statistics) in real-life problems and to work with latest statistical software. The graduate makes a suitable candidate for work-teams utilizing statistical procedures, in areas of civil service, in companies employing quality control, in marketing and logistics. The graduate has extensive abstract thinking and a creative attitude to problem formulation and solving. They can take up Master programs of Applied Mathematics and Mathematics at our faculty, as well as other statistically oriented study programs elsewhere.
