Key learning outcomes Graduates have knowledge and skills obtained in lectures in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, forensic chemistry, structure biology, protein engineering, bioinformatics and related medical and biological areas. Graduates are able to retrieve and use current scientific information from electronic databases and to work with scientific literature in Czech and English. Graduates can perform the evaluation an interpretation of experimental data and can present obtained results in written and oral form. A great part of study time devoted to experimental work within independent projects and the elaboration of diploma work provide appropriate level of practical skills in selected areas, language competences and capabilities to work effectively with the scientific literature. Graduates will be capable to apply obtain knowledge and skills to solve tasks in scientific research and in practical expert projects within their future work.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates acquire relevant experience and capabilities in biochemistry and related disciplines, which enable fast and creative work in new scientific fields encountered in their future practice. Graduates have capabilities to independently solve task in research projects within the area of biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, clinical biochemistry and related subjects. Graduates can find job positions in laboratories of research institutes and Universities, in clinical and control laboratories in medical and veterinary area, and in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry areas.
