Key learning outcomes The principal objective of the study program aims at training of a fully qualified specialist in the field of classical inorganic as well as coordination chemistry, who can find a vacancy on labour market and is capable of handling and solving given problems. Students of the study program Inorganic Chemistry attend courses in other chemical fields (organic, analytical, physical, materials chemistry and biochemistry. The courses constituting the major part of the program focus on chemical systems showing varied properties (inorganic, polymeric, coordination, organometallic etc.), methods for studying their structure and properties, their synthesis and analysis. The graduate is able to do research of chemical compounds and systems, study their properties and apply theoretical knowledge in independent specialized work. The graduate is able to communicate on an interdisciplinary level and can fully engage in team research work.
Specific admission requirements unspecified
Specific provisions for recognition of prior learning unspecified
Qualification requirements and regulations 120 ECTS credits, passing the state final exam, defending Diploma's thesis.
Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The graduate can find a vacancy in institutions of basic research and in research and production laboratories in practice. Additionally, students can obtain teaching credentials by attending the extension study involving courses in pedagogical-psychological disciplines, teaching methodology and teaching practice. The graduate can continue in doctoral studies in inorganic chemistry or related field of study.
