Key learning outcomes The graduates have knowledge from the field of physical and material chemistry, both focused on nanomaterials. The graduates have knowledge and skills, thanks to which he/she is able to perform synthesis, functionalization, and characterization of materials (incl. microscopic, spectroscopic, magnetic, thermic methods). Furthermore, the graduates are able to apply his/her knowledge in practice - in environmental remediation, in medicine, biotechnologies or in energy production and storage. The graduates have knowledge concerning up-to-date materials such as carbon-based nanomaterials. The graduates understand materials and nanomaterials in greater context and are able to apply them in a creative way in research and in practice. The graduates are able to present his/her scientific results and to work with advanced information technologies.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The graduate is fully qualified in the field of physical and material chemistry. He/She is prepared for independent work in these fields either in research and industrial practice or in testing. Simultaneously, the absolvent is prepared for further qualification in the course of the doctor´s study in physical or material chemistry. The absolvent will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in a wide field of professions, where the University degree from physico-chemical fundaments of analytical and synthetic processes in material technologies and nanomaterials are required. The absolvents can find employment in branches using physico-chemical methods in research and production of materials in chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industry, in control and industrial laboratories, in testing but also in medicine or modern technologies of water treatment.
