Key learning outcomes Students are able to solve problems related to the preparation of new compounds and to the determination of all the characteristics with modern analytical methods, to predict and study their properties, to propose and carry out the modifications of a structure in order to enhance desired properties, etc. Therefore, the aim of this programme is to produce graduates capable of working in chemical research, where the synthesis of organic compounds is the most relevant part.

Positions can be typically found in laboratories focused on development of organic synthesis, preparation of organic substances including drugs, material modification, laboratories focused on isolation of compounds and study of their structure, laboratories focused on development of diagnostic tools, etc.
