Key learning outcomes The graduates have fundamental knowledge in all chemical branches and can get a specialization thanks to attendance of advanced lectures and laboratory practises focused on description of nanomaterial properties, on their modification and functionalization and application. The graduates have knowledge of interrelations between the physico-chemical properties of nanomaterials and their application in variety of fields like medicine, biotechnologies, water treatment technologies or energetics. The graduates are given a chance to follow-up with MSc. degree in nanomaterial chemistry. The graduates understand the nanomaterials in wider context and are able to apply their knowledge. The graduates are able to present their results and simultaneously they are able to work with up-to-date technologies.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The graduate will be prepared to work independently in the field of nanomaterials, both in research and industrial practice, at the same time the absolvent will be prepared to increase his/her qualification in the follow-up master´s study in the field of material chemistry. The acquired knowledge and skills can be used in a wide range of professions where University degree aimed on physico-chemical fundamentals of analytical and synthetic methods used in nanomaterial technologies are required. Thanks to the application potential of nanotechnologies in medicine, biotechnologies and environment, the absolvents can find employment in the fields using physico-chemical methods in research and in the production of nanomaterials in chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industry and in industrial laboratories, in testing, and also in health care and agriculture or in environmental remediation and water treatment.
