Key learning outcomes The aim of this study programme is to provide graduates with a deeper knowledge of Japanese, and a detailed understanding of Japanese history, literature and culture (also in a broader context), qualifying them for successful career in state intitutions, private industry and media, tourism, education and research.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates of Japanese Philology have gained a very good understanding in the areas of Japanese literature, culture, history and society, and a good command of the Japanese language, the minimum of level N2 (the second highest) of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test. This qualifies them for successful career as Japanese-speaking assistants, consultants or translators in a range of state institutions, media, private industry, cultural institutions and diplomacy. They can also continue in their academic career.
