Key learning outcomes The aim of the linguistic studies is to master the diachronic aspects (Language development, Old Slavic language, Typology of the Slavonic theorem), to become acquainted with the formal language and with its stylistic layers and functional styles of Ukrainian writing. Literary disciplines focus on contemporary literature. Students also acquire a theoretical knowledge of literary science and criticism. The aim is to achieve the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates of this programme will acquire a complex understanding of the development of Ukrainian language and literature. Students will further develop their communicative competence and attend courses in the field of translation and interpreting (introduction to the theory of translation, translation practice, interpreting practice), based on a systematic comparison of Ukrainian and Czech. Thus, the programme offers graduates the opportunity for professional specialization in the fields of linguistics, literary theory, or literary history. Graduates will find employment as translators and informative interpreters, in social and cultural institutions, translation agencies, institutions of lifelong learning, libraries, archives, free time institutions, and the media.
