Key learning outcomes The aim of the Bachelor's study of Latin philology is to teach the basics of the language and work with foreign language sources, ability to analyse philological texts and being able to understand the text in wider historical and cultural context. The student should also learn how to search for relevant information and critically assess and present their results in both oral and written form.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates of bachelor´s degree studies of Latin philology are fluent in Latin at level giving them competence of translation and interpretation of simple Latin texts. They have basic view of ancient history, literature and fine arts. They have ability to take use of their knowledge in related fields of science and to apply acquired skills in other professions (culture work, work in governmental offices, private foundations etc.) They are prepared for specialized work in museums, archives and other culture institutions, state administration, journalism, media etc. and for further masters´s degree studies. This qualifies them for successful career a in a range of state institutions and cultural institutions.
