Key learning outcomes The aim of the field of study is the aquisition of knowledge and skills taught in the linguistic and literary historical lectures and seminars. In the field of linguistics, students are required to master a synchronic level of the Polish language. The study of the Polish language is part of the wider context of Slavonic languages and cultures. In the third year, translation courses are introduced in order to enhance knowledge of the Polish language using methods applied in translation. In the history of literature courses, students have to acquire knowledge of literary theory and the development of literature and culture from the oldest literary period up to the present.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduate is prepared to use his abilities in a field of Polish language, literature and culture during his professional career, which he proves by preparing and defending his Bachelor's thesis. Thanks to the wide range of facultative courses the graduate has an opportunity to widen his abilities by himself. It improves his professional competence for the next Master's study or in practice.
