Key learning outcomes The aim of the programme is to provide knowledge and skills from linguistic and literary disciplines. Synchronous language status is studied in the linguistic disciplines. Ukrainian language is learnt in the context of Slavic studies and history. Interpreting and translating subjects are added in the second year of study. The aim of the study of literature is to acquire theory and to get acquainted with the historical development in 19th and the 20th centuries.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates will acquire an active knowledge of contemporary Ukrainian on the intermediate level (B2) with respect to all language skills. They will become familiar with the phonetic/phonological, morphosyntactical and lexical systems of Ukrainian from the synchronic point of view, as well as with the development of Ukrainian literature from the Kievan Rus' period up to present and with Ukrainian history, society and culture. Thus, graduates will be well prepared for both the job market (e.g. in the sphere of culture, business, tourism, or administration) and further study in a Master's programme.
