Key learning outcomes The aim of the field of study is to gain the knowledge and skills taught in the linguistic and literary historical lectures and seminars. In the linguistic field students are required to master a synchronic level of the Polish language. The study of the Polish language is a part of a wider context of Slavonic languages and cultures. In the third year, translation courses are introduced in order to enhance knowledge of the Polish language using methods applied in translation. In the history of literature courses, students have to acquire knowledge of literary theory and the development of literature and culture from the oldest literary period up to the present.

Profile of the programme academical
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduate is being prepared to get a broad overview of philological disciplines which means that he got deep knowledge in a field of linguistics and literary theory. He also gets communicative language competence (B2 level in CEFR classification) which means that he understands the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his field of specialization. He can fluently interact with native speakers and produce texts on different subjects. His language competence - very good knowledge of Czech, Polish, and English language and passive knowledge of Russian and Ukrainian language - helps him find a job on European and other employment markets.
