Course content
History and evaluation of osteosynthesis methods. AO osteosynthesis. Methods and indications of external osteosynthesis.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
Modern trends in internal and external fixation of fractures.
Student will be familiar with the history of osteosynthesis, its indications, the advantages of stable osteosynthesis and its complications. Will be capable of choosing the proper fixation for any given type of fracture.
Prerequisites
Good knowledges of fundamental surgery.
