Course content
Both the theoretical and practical parts pay special attention to diseases in which rehabilitation is an integral part of therapeutic care. In particular CNS disorders (cerebral palsy, inflammatory diseases of the CNS, traumas), conditions originating in the perinatal period (asphyxia), musculoskeletal disorders (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, haemophilia) and acute conditions.

Learning outcomes
The students will be taught the different organs disorders with special attention to the bone and joint diseases and central nervous system diseases. New approaches to the management of many disorders as a consequence of advances in molecular biology, genetics and immunology will be discussed. The influence of chronic illness on the life of the patient and his family will be emphasized.
Students will understand the influence of the disease on the child´s development and will be able to use a different approach to the management of newborns, infants, children and adolescents.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of anatomie.

Oral exam

100% active attendance at seminars. Written test. Oral exam.
