Course content
1. Introduction to the study. The content of training. The organization of works in practice and requirements for accreditation. Safety of work in the laboratory. 2. Biological drawing, principles of drawing, painting requirements in biology. 3. Methods of drawing with microscope and stereoscopic microscope 4. Estimated drawing (by eye), advantages and disadvantages. 5. Drawing with eyepiece scale. 6. Drawing with the help of ocular grid and the photographic artwork. 7. Using a drawing apparatus. 8. Ink and its treatment, shading. 9. Ethology in animal drawing. 10. Using a computer scanner to modify drawings. 11. Preparation of images for publication. 12. Editing and submitting theses to the required quality.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to explain the importance of the illustrations in biology, learn students to use the free drawings and paintings with optical devices for imaging of biological objects and phenomena. Special emphasis will be on the drawing of microscopic objects with using of laboratory optics. The purpose is to make students able to presented a systematic or otherwise biologically significant shapes, textures, and proportions of individual parts of a whole object and use the skills acquired in practical exercises and in preparing theses.
The student develops the ability of drawing and its application in biological practice

Submission of file of drawings in the required quality (evaluation trademark "1-3 ').
