Course content
Subject deals with general principles of pharmacology and drug formulations used in gynecology and obstetrics, drug safety inpregnancy and lactations and with pharmacotherapy of diseases and symptoms occurring in pregnancy and lactation.

Learning outcomes
The student will gain knowledge of the basic principles of general pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and about sources of information regarding drug use. The student will also gain basic knowledge of main drug groups, drug safety during pregnancy and lactation and about pharmacotherapy of the most common conditions in pregnant women.
The students will be able to apply the knowledge about the use and safety of drugs in pregnancy and lactation in their work as midwives.
