Course content
Subject deals with general basis of clinical pharmacology, drug formulations and pharmacoogy of vegetative nervous systém and central nervous systém.

Learning outcomes
The student will gain knowledge of the basic principles of general pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and about sources of information regarding drug use. The student will learn about drug forms and routes of application. The student will also gain basic knowledge of the main pharmacotherapeutic groups and their use in the most common pathologic conditions, also about drug side effects and interactions, and about principles of drug clinical trials and the practical use of clinical pharmacology.
The students will be able to apply the knowledge about drug forms, the use and safety of drugs in their work as nurses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active participation in all seminars. Test - 70%
