Course content
# Introduction to IT, hardware, basic concepts # Computer infiltration, cyber-safety principles # E-mail client (setup & advanced management) # World Wide Web (web browsers, advanced web search) # HTML web editing # MS Word (complex document editing)

Learning outcomes
The information technologies course is divided into two one-semester modules IT1 (kaa/IT01) and IT2 (kaa/IT02) and is focused on acquiring advanced competences with information and communication technologies. Since the computer operation systems and majority of the applications are in the Czech localization the course is taught in Czech. IT1 focuses on the following topics: see Course content
In successfully completing the course the student will have acquired advanced IT skills, such as complex document creation and formatting, HTML webpage creation and editing, e-mail client configuration and management, searching the web via advanced operators, and effective immunization against malware and computer infiltration.
Prerequisites
Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of the MS Windows operating system (the concept of windows, menus, files, mouse button functions, etc.)

Written exam, Seminar Work
