# creating and formatting complex Powerpoint presentations # spreadsheets & graphs editing in MS Excel # PDF creation, editing & encryption # scanning and editing bitmap graphics in Adobe Photoshop # simple database creation in MS Access # management of encrypted data archives

Learning outcomes
The information technologies course is divided into two independent one-semester modules IT1 (kaa/IT01) and IT2 (kaa/IT02) and is focused on acquiring advanced competences with information and communication technologies. Since the computer operation systems and the majority of the applications are in the Czech localization the course is taught in Czech. IT2 focuses on the following topics: see Course content
In successfully completing the course the student will have acquired advanced IT skills, such as creating and formatting complex Powerpoint presentations, spreadsheets & graphs editing, PDF creation, editing & encryption, scanning and editing bitmap graphics in Photoshop, simple database creation, and management of encrypted data archives.
Prerequisites
Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of the MS Windows operating system (the concept of windows, menus, files, mouse button functions, etc.)

Written exam, Seminar Work
