Course content
The winter term of contemporary language seminars helps students prepare for the magister´s examination. Special attention is paid to typological differences between English and Czech during the analysis of different texts.

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to to revise all the linguistic branches studied so far (morphology, syntax, text analysis) and help students overcome their weak points.


Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

students need to be present in 80% of the seminars students have to prepare short summaries of some topics from the following branches of linguistics: phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, lexicology, and text analysis and they will present them in seminars
