Course content
This is an optional course for students of all three years. We will work with the British National Corpus via on-line concordancers such as Sketch Engine (our department has got a licence for participants of the course), Sara - Simple Search of BNC-World, Collins Cobuild Corpus Sampler, Just the Word and others. Worksheets for the course are available on the web, students can work under the guidance of their teacher.

Learning outcomes
Since the licence for the on-line concordancer Sketch Engine has not been renewed, this course will not be taught any longer.
Ability to study in English.

Understanding a lecture and communicating in English.

Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio

This optional course can be studied on-line from home or with the help of the teacher in the computer laboratory. Students will get a credit when they complete all tasks on the web.
