Course content
This course is related to the basic course in phonetics and phonology (KAJ/FONET) and treats some of the following areas in depth or extends them: a comparison of the suprasegmental features of English and Czech; the most frequent pronunciation errors of Czech learners and various remedial tasks to deal with them, and the exploitation of different media (electronic, online and paper) for the purposes of practising pronunciation. However, it also reflects the participants' needs and wants in the area of improving their pronunciation.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to contribute to the overall improvement of learners' oral performance, to develop abilities to (self) correct and analyse recordings of themselves from the point of view of pronunciation, and to enable students to choose suitable remedial activities.

Successful completion of the course requires active participation in seminars, 70% attendance, regular preparation for sessions. Adequate performance (minimum of 70% achievement) in the final project - recording and analysis of spoken performance (can be redone twice).
