Course content
There are three parts of the exam: 1) Writing and presentation of the structured CV (max. 2 pages A4) 2) Writing and PPT presentation of dissertation/research project outline (max. 2 pages A4) in German, 3) Reading, translation and grammar analysis of German scientific text (min. 50 p.).

Learning outcomes
Final certification of the German language in doctoral studies at FF UP verifies all the language skills. Successful completion of the exam requires knowledge of the language at level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. Certificates of international examinations (Goethe, ÖSD, ECL etc.) are not recognized, because these examinations do not assess scientific language. Passing the exam doctoral student gains 10 credits.
In order to pass this exam, the student must have a good command of the foreign language they have chosen to take the exam in (approx. at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), must be able to communicate on topics related to their field of research, and must understand subject-related texts.
Prerequisites

Before the exam, the doctoral student is obliged to register on the dates tutorial (code: KAL/91AND - zápočet před zkouškou) and completing his compulsory to obtain zápočet for 0 credits. September 14, 2016 (10:00 to 1:00 p.m., room 205) January 5, 2017 (10:00 to 1:00 p.m., room 205) May 16, 2017 (10:00 to 1:00 p.m., room 205) (a doctoral student writes in STAG only one term).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic

Knowledge of German at B2 level, writing competence (CV, dissertation outline) and oral competence of scientific communication in German. Before the exam (KAL/91AND) must a doctoral candidate obtain credit by completing the tutorial: KAL/91ATN. The tutorials are held in terms of: September 14, 2016 (9:00 to 2:00 p.m., room 205) January 5, 2017 (9:00 to 2:00 p.m., room 205) May/June 2017.
