Learning outcomes
The course is aimed at introducing students to the issue of Remedial Physical Education, as a specific form of physical education for health impaired individuals. Contents of the course are divided to an area of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, focused on balancing and developing curriculum. Students are introduced to biological fundamentals of Remedial Health Education, the methodology, basic means of evaluating and testing the musculoskeletal system, focused especially on diagnosing muscular imbalances. Students will be explained the substance and the main causes of muscular imbalance, which must be seen in the lack of movement in everyday life, where static activities such as long-term sitting or one-sided stress predominate, consequently leading to body damage. Students will learn practical skills through which they can rationally eliminate, avoid or at least reduce actuation of effects, deteriorating health condition, and minimize health impairment and strengthen the body. Substantial part is devoted to basic compensation resources and their practical use.
