Course content
1. Ontogenetic development periodisation, gametogenesis, fertilization. Embryonic and fetal period. Pregnancy, childbirth, signs of the fuul-term fetus. 2. Impact of external factors on the development of an individual in the prenatal period. 3. Human age periodisation. Period of newborn, infant, toddler, preschool age. School age (younger school age, older school age). Adolescent age and other developmental periods of human age. 4. Biological age (methods of diagnosing biological age in children). Factors impacting growth, physical growth patterns. 5. Cell: structure, function of organelles, cell division. Tissues: epithelial, connective, muscle and nerve. 6. Skeletal system: the shape, surface, internal structure, growth and development, bone connections. Skeletal system: Skeleton of the torso (spine, chest), skull bone, upper and lower extremities skeleton. 7. Muscular system - structure, composition and properties of muscles. Description of major muscle groups. 8. Blood: quantity, composition and functions of blood. The heart: shape, structure and activity. Blood vessels: structure (arteries, capillaries, veins). Great and lesser blood circulation. 9. Lymphatic system. Structure and functions of the spleen. Respiratory system: external and internal respiration, nose, nasal cavity, larynx, trachea, lungs. 10. Digestive system: oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, pancreas, liver. 11. Excretory system: kidneys, urinary tract. Cutaneous system: skin structure, additional skin formations. 12. Visual system: eye structure, additional eye organs. Organs of hearing and equilibrium. Gustatory and olfactory organs. 13. Nervous system: a reflex arch, the dorsal spinal cord, medulla oblongata, pons Varolii, cerebellum, midbrain, Diencephalon, Cerebrum. 14. Cranial nerves, spinal nerves, autonomic nervous system. 15. System of glands with internal secretion. 16. Male sexual system. Female sexual system.

Learning outcomes
Basic terminology. Human body structure: anatomy, morphology and physiology.
1. Students will be able to describe the selected ontogenetic periods of human development and will be able to explain which factors influence human somatic development and also to describe the effects of negative factors and their consequences affecting the healthy development of the individual. 2.Students will be able to describe and explain the structure and basic functions of the human body.
Prerequisites
Tha basic human anatomy and physiology.

Mark, Oral exam, Written exam

Knowledge of human biology on grammar school level.
