Course content
anthropological researches ? history, types, organizations, areas for using results, significant personalities of Czech and world anthropology; fundamentals of standard anthropological methodologies (anthropometric points, instrumentarium, methodology of measuring and practical ascertaining of body dimensions); ways of statistical processing of data, presenting and interpreting of results (growth tables, growth curves, percentile charts); ways of assessing an individual/file (z-score, morphograms, percentile bands, ?Growth CZ? programme); assessing body proportionality (proportional indexes and relative dimensions, weight-height ration, BMI, WHR); the possibility of final body height prediction (prediction equation); secular trends in evolvement of Czech/world population; typological systems; methods for estimating body composition; dynamometrics; fundamentals of dactyloscopy and somatoscopy.

Learning outcomes
Physical Anthropology studies the biological essence of human character variability and its causes. It discussed the diversity of shapes, functions and types with the appropriate assessment methods (anthropometry, somatoskopie, biostatistics). A separate chapter problems are růstzové anthropology, including developments of basic physical parameters.
Students acquire the fundamental basis for the study of other human sciences as well as an understanding of the basic principles of specialization and integration of Sciences.
Knowledge of somatology, physiology and human history (and human society).
