Course content
1. Definition of the field, basic terminology - branches of hygiene, public health surveillance, the terms health, illness, prevention, health determinants. 2. Environment and its impact on human health - air, water, land, housing and their effects on health. 3. Food Hygiene with a focus on nutritional requirements for children in preschool age - food composition, dietary guidelines, health risks from food, School meals, educational principles in the diet of children. Drinking regime. 4. Personal hygiene of pupils - general principles of personal hygiene, the importance of skin derivates care, requirements for clothing and footwear of pupils. 5. Hygiene of work - working environment, workload focused on the teaching profession. Diseases related to working conditions of teachers in kindergarten 6. Hygiene of the educational process and care for children in nursery schools. - Regime on biological rhythms. 7. Hygiene requirements for the physical conditions and operation of facilities for pre-school children. - Equipment of the microclimate. 8. Hygiene requirements for convalescent children's events, trips, walks, tours. Health and safety of children in activities organized by the MOE. 9. Mental Hygiene - psychogennní stress and prevention, psycho sleep and leisure psychohygienické types of mental freshness. The importance of rest and relaxation in the work of kindergarten teacher 10. General epidemiology - the process of epidemic, infectious process, anti-epidemic measures. 11. Special epidemiology - airborne diseases, foodborne disease 12. Special epidemiology - arthropod-borne diseases, diseases transmitted by blood

Learning outcomes
Basic knowledge of hygiene of environment, hygiene of interiors, light regulations, noise etc. Individual personal hygiene in children in pre-school age. Epidemiology and prevetion.
Student will be able to: - Provide general first aid - Apply knowledge of first aid practice - Talk about school hygiene
Prerequisites
The prerequisite is completion: - The subject of biology in the context of grammar school curriculum - Study biology disciplines the child and adolescent
