Course content
The philosophy of the origin of the law and the history of the law thinking, the history of the relation between law and moral, the interpretation of the law, the contract as a form of relation between the Lord and the human, the divine law in the Old a New Testament, the objection of conscience, the arguments for the existence of law in Church, the history of the sources of the canon law. The general norms ? ecclesiastical laws, customs, general decrees and instructions, statutes and rules of order, juridic acts, the power of governance, the provision and loss of the ecclesiastical offices, prescription and computation of time.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Learning outcomes
Introduction into the basics of philosophy and theology of law, history of sources of Canon Law, law concepts, terminology and structure of Canon Law as it is defined in the 1st book of the Code of Canon Law.
Gained knowledge will help students to understand the problems included in other books of the Code of Canon Law.
Pass the basics of philosophy and Church history.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Pass examination proving orientation in the dealt problems.
