Course content
Course deals with following issues: hydrology - history of this science, information and data resources, methods of hydrological research, organization of CHMI; hydrosphere - water reserves on Earth and water circulation, hydrometrics; floods and droughts; hydrography - water regime of rivers, characteristics of water catchments; fluvial shapes; river ladscape; fundamentals of water management; hydrology of subsurface water; limnology; water objects and water resources; hydrological models; fundamentals of oceanography; physical and chemical characteristics of sea water.

  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Main objective of this course is to acquaint students with the terms and regularities of scientific hydrology, which can be used in professional practice.
Recall basic terms and concepts used in hydrology.
Prerequisites
Knowledge within the scope of compulsory subjects that precede this subject in the study plan.
