Course content
The subject will present procedures applied in the landscaping practice and landscape management. Focus on urban planning documents which form the foundations of spatial development. Processes and procedures of landscape management within the competence of the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture. Lecture themes: - ecological stability of the landscape and the territorial system of ecological stability at all levels of hierarchy; - management of landscape and its components; - policy and management in relation to protected areas; - land consolidation; - revitalisation and training of watercourses; - Planning analytical documents (ÚAP), principles of spatial development (ZUR); - Area planning practice and urban master plan (ÚP).

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to broaden the knowledge of students regarding the landscape concept both in theoretical and practical directions.
Apply approaches and methods used in landscape ecology.
Prerequisites
Knowledge within the scope of compulsory subjects that precede this subject in the study plan.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Seminar Work

Individual worktask - evaluation of selected strictly protected sites according to the approved methodology. For the colloquium, knowledge within the scope of lectures and recommended literature is required.
