Course content
Course presents fundamentals of nature and landscape conservation from the geographer's point of view. Historical development and principles of nature and landscape conservation will be brought forward. Primary attention will be paid to spatial aspect of nature and landscape conservation - general protection, special protection, cultural landscape. Shortly will be commented componential and species aspect of environmental protection. We will also mention legislative framework of nature and landscape conservation, including administrative bodies active in this field, and the situation abroad.
