Course content
The course focuses on mastering the fundamentals of working with selected product CAD, especially with digital drawing techniques and modern approaches to CAD data in GIS. Students will become familiar with Autodesk Map 3D. Emphasis is put on all the available GIS operations. Experience of working are gradually generalized. 1. Creating and updating data 2. Connecting and querying data 3. Descriptive and attribute data, import and export data in GML 4. Storing data in external databases 5. Creating topology, network analysis 6. Overlay analysis 7. Visualization and data management, creation of thematic maps 8. Hypsometry analysis, slope, orientation, water 9. Data Flow Diagrams 10. Making printouts

Learning outcomes

Define the main ideas and conceptions of the subject, describe the main approaches of the studied topics in the area of processing spatial data for geography, recall the theoretical knowledge for solution of model problems.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of methods of geometric presentation of real-world objects with digital data.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Student has to prove the knowledge of the subject topics.
