Course content
One-semester course focuses on the issues of computer graphics and graphics software (eg. Adobe Creative Suite) and prepress map processes. In the exercise lessons, the emphasis is focused on basic graphic skills and especially on the ability to apply these skills in map creation.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students the basics of cartographic design and prepress map process.
Students will acquire skills in the creation of computer design and its use in the mapping.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite is a basic knowledge of cartography, ie. KGI/KART1, KGI/KART2 or their equivalents from another study program (cartography, thematic cartography, etc.).

Students should have an interest in cartography, graphics, and above all they should want to be able to create maps on the professional level.
