Course content
Lessons from theory and practical exercises from work with ceramic materials. Basic treatment of ceramics, preservation and restoration of ceramic collections, digital processing in database programs (eg. MS Access), drawi documentation and subsequent digital processing in graphics programs (such as Gimp and Inkscape). AD

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on skills in dividual methods (techniques) documentation and inventory of movable and immovable assets of discovered archaeological material. Gradually the students will be acquainted with the technique of draw and photographic documentation of movable finds as well as draw and photographic documentation as well as geodethic documentation of field -excavation situations in archaeological research. They will also be acquainted with the ways of finding evidence of the individual situations and the ways of inventory of movable archaeological material. AD
Knowledge of methods of conservation, restoration, description, drawi documentation of pottery and ceramic materials and digital processing of data. AD
Prerequisites
Successful completion of subject History of Prehistory (DP, DPA, XDP) or of subject Introduction to the Study of Archaeology (UA) or subject Theory of archaeological research (TA), or a basic overview of the material culture of prehistoric age to modern times in Central Europe and in the methods of archaeological work. AD

Systematic Observation of Student

Active participation in seminars, ongoing consultation with the lectors and individual work during practical exercises. AD
