Course content
Lessons: 1. (Plaštiaková) Introduction - types of archaeological field researches. 2.-3. (Peška) Methodology of field survey (prospecting) - surface collection, the visual exploration , sampling techniques, archeo-geophysical methods, aerial archeology. Surveying of locations, GIS. 4. - 5. (Plaštiaková) Methods of field research - methods of reveals ,the preparation of archaeological objects and their documentation. 6. (Peška) Destructive and non-destructive methods of research managing. 7.(Peška) stratigraphy, stratigraphic units. 8. - 9. (Plaštiaková) Methods of excavating of archaeological monuments. Methods of basic treatment of archaeological material in the field research, excavating an an object in in situ, sampling, the use of chemical products in the field, laktoprofiles . 10. (Peška) Types of materials and their preparation for archaeological exploration and research. 11. - 12. (Plaštiaková) The procedure for the preparation of archaeological research, practical advice in its actual implementation. Individual types documentation of archaeological research, preparation of materials for finding protocols and ways of developing up the report. 13. Visit of the currently ongoing archaeological research. Seminars : 1.- 13. Discussion over the lectured topic. AD
