Course content
Topics: 1. Selbstbestimmungsrecht - Schwangerschaftsabbruch 2. Anfechtung von Rechtsgeschäften ? Fall Kündigung wegen Schwangerschaft 3. Vertragsschluss unter Einbeziehung von Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen 4. Verletzung der Vertragspflichten ? Fall PIN 5. Schadenshaftung - Ärztliche Aufklärungspflicht 6. Rechte des Eigentümers - Der Entsorgte Pkw 7. Arbeitsrecht und bürgerliches Recht - Kündigung wegen Krankheit

Learning outcomes
The volitional subject provides students with the possibility of increasing the quality of professional language competence - active and passive skills of legal German (listening to a lecture and taking notes, understanding a text from a textbook and its reproduction, solving cases and interpretation of judicial decisions). The teaching is goal-directed, students work with German textbooks, the law (BGB) and judicial decisions of German courts. The teaching is enriched by video cases containing judgments of German courts (ZDF series) and lectures on Civil Law by professor Hassemer.
Students completing this subject will gain partial basic knowledge from German civil law including legal terminology and skills in the area of listening to authentic legal texts and communication about them.
Completion of this subject is conditional upon successful completion of 2 terms of civil law and upon successful completion of 1st foreign language - german.

In order to get the credit it is essential that the students have a regular attendance in the scope set by the seminar leader. The students must also complete the tasks assigned by the teacher.
