Course content
1) Oscillation 2) Wave motion 3) Organ of hearing 4) Hearing thresholds, binaural hearing and its consequences, masking 5) Acoustic properties of the musical signal 6) Organoacustics 7) Methodology for measuring acoustic parameters of musical instruments. 8) Tuning 9) Physical acoustics 10) The basics of room acoustics 11) The issues of musical recording

Learning outcomes
The purpose of the subject is provide the insight into the elementary problems of physical, musical, physiological and spacial acoustic.
The ability orientate oneself in elementary problems of musical etc. acoustic.
The knowlidge of the musical theory.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

-Regular attendance -Reading the mandatory and (at least a part of) the recommended literature. -The detailed knowledge of the content of the lectures and of the issues introduced by the (mandatory) literature.
