1) Theory 2) Musical culture and the society 3) Impulses for musicology from the field of semiotics 4) Musical work phenomenon 5) The issues of art taxonomy 6) Methodological aspects of musical analysis 7) Postmodernism and art 8) Mass media and musical culture 9) Impulses from the field of general linguistics and communication theory 10) Current trends in development of contemporary musicology

Learning outcomes
The purpose of the subject is provide the insight into the basic conceptions of methodology of musicology, their historical development and territorial specifics.
The ability own to solve methodological questions of musicology.
The knowlidge of the historical development of musicology and his systematization.

Seminar Work

-Working out one paper during the semester.
