Course content
1. Electrical measurement of non-electric quantities, converters of physical quantities. Analogue and digital signal. Block connection of a measuring system. 2. Computer algorithms and their development. Digital and microprocessor measuring systems. 3. Measurement of time parameters, digital stopwatch. Applications for measurement of reaction time, vertical jump and walking. 4. Measurement of force parameters, piezoelectric and tensometric sensors. Applications for measurement of Nordic walking force parameters. 5. Non-invasive measurement of spine shape, electromechanical position sensor. Assessment of spine shape and postural sways. 6. Measurement of ECG signal. Heart rate variability. Non-invasive examination of the autonomic nervous system.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to introduce to the students the technical principles and development of measuring systems and processing of measured data. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student is able to describe the technical principles of measuring systems, specify the aspects of development of measuring systems and use professional concepts in cooperation with technical specialists.

Minimum attendance in seminars 80%, submission of an algorithm to solve a given task, colloquium.
