Content of the textbook New English File Preintermediate - from the Chapter 8.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 40 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 30 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to enable international students further development of their English language skills with regard to English as their study language.
It is expected that the passing of the course will enable students to...: 1) ... improve their English pronunciation; 2) ...understand without major problems the instruction taught in English, incl. the courses taught by native speakers; 3) ... to enrol theorethical, not only practical courses taught in English; 4) ... to write in English without major problems in spelling.
The English language knowledge of students who enrolled the course have to be at least on A2 level according to the CEFR.
