Course content
Biosignals and their role in diagnostic information systems. Diagnostic systems for registration of mechanical quantities. Temperature measurement, thermography, thermovision. Biopotentials, formation, recording, diagnostic utilization. X-ray. Dg. methods, skiascopy, skiagraphy. Transmission computed tomography. Optical imaging and laboratory methods. Ultrasound examination methods. Biophysical principles of selected treatment procedures. Lasers. Substitution of kidneys function, artificial hemodialysis.

Learning outcomes
The students will understand basic principles of modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods and systems, which midwifes-bachelors will meet at the clinic nursing profession at their patient preparation, assistance and follow up nursing. Among the methods belong ultrasound, electrodiagnostics, computer tomography, magnetic resonance etc.

Students ought to have fundamental attainments in medical biophysics and physiology.
