A brief overview of the development of discipline Personality psychology vs General Psychology The basic paradigms of personality psychology Formal psychological explication of personality characteristics Content properties Discipline The main theoretical models of personality: - Psychoanalytic Perspective: Classical Psychoanalysis, Contemporary Psychoanalytic Theory (Ego psychology psychosocial theory), Analytical psychology, interpersonal dynamics concept (A. Adler, K. Horney, E. Fromm, HS Sullivan) - Perspective of personality traits: Personologie G. Allport and H. Murray, Factor analysis of personality (R. Cattell, Eysenck HJ) - Humanistic psychology (A. Maslow, Rogers CR) - Existential-phenomenological perspective (L Binswanger, M. Boss, VE Frankl) - Socio-Cognitive Perspective (A. Bandura, G. Kelly, M. Seligman, J. Rotter) - East of personality psychology (Abhidhamma) Perspective of personality theory in the future
