Recapitulation of methodological approaches Database systems and working with the literature Focusing on the research problem, formulation of research questions and hypotheses Creation of research proposal Resources and inspiration, examples

Learning outcomes
Methodology 3 - applications in research practice The course is oriented as a seminar. Students are introduced to the structure of research proposal. Seminar is led as a discussion with students, they are working with their own topics, possible errors in a specific cases are discussed.
The output of the course is to help students to make their own research proposal (about 3 to 5 standard pages of A4). They will practise in writing and describing theoretical background, research objectives, used methodology , the decision of the population and the sample, methods of data acquisition, analysis methods and other specifics. Students will clarify the direction of their research, consider the use of appropriate techniques and then practice in articulating their own research projects, which can then be processed in their bachelor's thesis.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites: completion of METD1 - quantitative approach and METD2 - qualitative approach.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Seminar Work

Students have to complete their own research proposal (from 3 to 5 standard pages A4), which will be discussed and evaluated during final oral exam. Both quantitative and qualitative designs can be used.
